A monotypic genus, a terrestrial leaf-litter dwelling skink found at high altitudes in the central mountains of Sri Lanka. Taylor gives the characteristics of the genus as follows: nostril pierced in rostral near posterior edge; scale above 1st labial preceding the loral; very large frontonasal followed by relatively small rostral; prefrontals and frontoparietals absent. Body elongate with four small limbs each bearing four digits.
