The following index lists articles that appeared in some of the recent herpetological hobbyist magazines dealing with a zoological park theme, usually involving non-native species. It does not claim to be exhaustive, but does give a reasonable selection. Many of these are records of breeding successes or the construction of installations to hold particular animals, etc.
Note that national parks, game reserves, crocodile farms and "ranches" for the breeding of animals are not included in this list, since all of these normally deal with those species occurring naturally in that country. Such records can be found instead in the regional index. In fact it will be noted that zoological gardens holding non-native species are concentrated in the developed nations, especially in the northern hemisphere, although zoos are found in most nations.
