Periodical Index - Teiid and Gymnophthalmid Lizards

A guide to teiid- & gymnophthalmid lizard articles appearing in herpetogical periodicals over the past few years

Most articles found in hobbyist-orientated publications on this group of lizards tend to focus on teiids and in particular tegus, followed to a much lesser degree by ameivas which are sometimes kept. Gymnophthalmids, small lizards found often in leaf litter, tend to be mentioned only in natural history or herpetological expedition articles, and few are kept as pets.
