Periodical Index - Other Snakes

A guide to articles on non-colubrid, -venomous and -boid snakes appearing in herpetogical periodicals over the past few years

This page covers articles on less well-known and rather rarely-kept groups of snakes, some of whose needs would be hard to meet in any case. Of these listed here, probably only the Sunbeam Snake, Xenopeltis unicolor, is kept with any regularity in the terrarium.

Note also that the Blindsnakes (Typhlopidae) have recently (2014) been broken up into further genera. Where this applies, the new name is listed in brackets.
